Had my first experience with tubs yesterday. I mounted the tubs up on my rims and inflated it to “stretch” them out a little. They weren’t super hard to mount up and i cant see too much difficulty. Just have to be prepared to get glue on my hands and stuff i reckon.

I am going to be applying 3 layers of thin glue to the rims with 12hr of curing time in between and 2 layers of glue on the actual tyre itself and then after that i will mount the tyre up with a final layer of glue. It was pretty daunting reading up on everything at first about tubs but true to what some people have mentioned it isn’t really super hard. There are plenty of cheapo tub tyres too if you are so inclined and with the use of sealant they should be fairly puncture proof.
